Trash & brush
What day is trash pickup?
Household trash is collected on Thursday. Set trash out by 8:00 a.m.
Water & sewer
How do I pay my water and sewer bill?
You can pay online, by mail, or in person at Town Hall, 307 South Main Street.
When did the new water and sewer rates start?
New water and sewer rates took effect July 1, 2026. A monthly sanitation fee of $4.00 also applies.
Can I estimate my water bill?
Yes. The bill estimator on the Water & Sewer page uses the July 1, 2026 rates. Your bill from Town Hall is the amount you owe.
Meetings
When does Town Council meet?
Town Council holds regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall. Confirm on the agenda page.

How do I get emergency and text alerts?
Sign up for emergency alerts through Everbridge. Text RR to 91896 for town-wide notifications, or RRWEATHER to 91896 for weather.
Taxes
When are property taxes due?
Real estate and personal property taxes are due January 5, 2027.

Where do I get a business license or zoning information?
Business licenses, meals and lodging tax forms, and zoning rules are on the Business & Zoning page.
Community
How do I rent the Community Center?
Book through Town Hall at 276-686-4221. The whole center is $275.00, the West Room $200.00, and the Bailey Room $75.00. All events end by 12:30 a.m.
When is the Farmers Market?
Wednesdays, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., June 17 through October 21, 2026, at Heritage Park.
